Dennis W. DeVries is a Documentary Filmmaker and Education Specialist who creates wonderfully engaging content
while also teaching promising neurodivergent and neurotypical students at an alternative high school in San Francisco.

Professional History:
After earning a degree in documentary media production at UArts in Philadelphia, DeVries
moved to New York City and entered the professional broadcast and marketing media space.

DeVries started out managing a TV studio in the West Village and recording sound for HBO Sports, MTV, BET,
ESPN, NBC, PBS, The NHL, Fox Sports, and Oliver Stone. DeVries was all ears while his eyes studied each production.

After 3 busy years of sound recording, DeVries began shooting for the Learning Channel, The Style Network, LOGO, and any doc work that came his way. Camera work dominated his career for several years while he produced and edited select projects, notably for Sesame Street Workshop and CurrentTV.

DeVries eventually moved in-house to become a full-time Producer, Director, Editor,
and the Head of Film at a high performance PR/Creative agency in New York, Exposure llc.

DeVries created content for a wide range of clients such as:
Microsoft, Casio, Levi's, Dr. Martens, Rockport, Coca-Cola, Reebok, Bing, UCSC, Omnia, and Nike.

DeVries has helmed and supported productions in Japan, Egypt, France, Germany, Portugal, Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Switzerland, Maui, The American Virgin Islands, The British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Thunder Bay, Calgary, British Columbia, Alberta, Arizona, Minnesota, Michigan, Utah, Georgia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Humboldt County, Las Vegas, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philly, Brooklyn, Harlem, Queens, Manhattan, The Bronx, Staten Island, New Jersey, and Santa Cruz. Along with teaching, DeVries is currently consulting on marketing media and completing his feature-length doc, Flight Dreams.
